Msenge Emoyeni is located near Bedford in South Africa’s Eastern Cape Province. It is the second phase of the greater Amakhala Emoyeni project concept, the first phase of which commenced Commercial Operation in 2016.
Through a partnership with African Clean Energy Developments (ACED), Msenge Emoyeni reached Financial Close in March 2023 and began exporting power to the national grid in October 2024. 16 Goldwind 4.5MW turbines are installed on site with a total export capacity of 69MW. Energy is transferred onto Eskom’s network via the Poseidon Main Transmission Substation.
