Ummbila Emoyeni 900MW hybrid renewable energy facility. The largest renewable hybrid energy facility in South Africa. Based in the Highveld, the project is set to redefine the Mpumalanga province’s journey towards a just energy transition. The entire project has been designated as a Strategic Integrated Project by the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, and has already received its Environmental Authorisation from the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, a critical requirement to start construction.
Ummbila Emoyeni commenced construction in April 2024.
In addition, Seriti Green is in the early development phase of a 1.3 GW project called Phefumula Emoyeni, which is adjacent to Ummbila Emoyeni in the Mpumalanga province.
Our development portfolio also includes projects in the Western, Eastern and Northern Cape, as well as the Free State.
